Member Since: August 2005 Posts: 0 Send Message	Hi , I am trying to find any information about my great grandmother Jane Bowen, born in Bersham which I think is in Shropshire, in 1866. She married an Edward Wilson and they eventually lived in Seaforth, Lancashire.

My "Bowens" (usually tenant farmers from Pembrokeshire and Carmathenshire from 1793) don't seem to connect with your interests. However, I'm not sure if you're aware that Bersham had a Colliery and is close to Wrexham. It was very common for Welsmen to drift into Shropshire for work (mining being a classic example) before moving on to larger places after 1 or 2 generations. Wolverhampton, where I live, being a case in point. Seaforth is in Liverpool and is situated right on the dock front (plenty of work) may have been the reason for another move.
