My grandfather was Bertram Phillips. I never really new him and he died in Birmingham in th1 60's. He lived in India for much of his ealy life. He was married to Phyllis, probably in Dehli, and sometimes used the surname 'de Soto Phillips' before he just shortened it to Phillips. His work in india/burma was connected with the railways as a manager anf lived in Calcutta, Dehli and Rangoon until he returned to England in the 1930's. Does anyone know anything more about him and hisd family. There is meant to be an irish connection in ther Cork area and a brand of his or his wife's family with the surname Dullard |
