I was wondering if anyone might be able to help with information on the Tracey family (or any spelling variation). Along with most people I don't have a lot of information to go on. What I do know is that James Tracey junor was born in Dover (England) about 1853. His parents were James Tracey born about 1820 in Aughrim, Roscommon and Mary McDonald (or variant) born Rooskey or Rosecray, Irelands about 1825. James father was John Tracey, as listed on his marriage cetificate to his second wife Jennifer Mills. I am assuming that James snr and Mary must have emigrated to England sometime before the birth of James jnr in 1853 as I can find no record of them onthe 1851 England or Scotland census. I would be grateful for any suggestions as to possible records to look in for further information. Many thanks Regards |
