Hi , I am researching the lovells. I have a William born 1825 Bristol England, d. 1900 Hindon, Otago, new Zealand. He married Rose Anne Cannon who supposedly arived in Auckland NZ, aboard the ' Duchess of Argyle'. One name I have been trying to trace is Caesar Augustus Lovell...a good name to start considering its an unusual name. Other children were Frances b. 1846, Esther b. 1849 Drowned in gold mine shaft in Australia aged 8, William John b. 1851, Australia, daniel b. 1855 Otago Nz, James b 1856 Australia, George b. 1858 Australia,Robert b. 1860 Australia, and Caesar Augustus, b. 1862 Australia. If anyone has a connectin to any of these names, could you please get back to me. I have also discovered that the lovell name possibly came from germany, also from family ( now deceased ) that there is Romany Gypsies somewhere in my line. I belive this was from Spain. |
