Member Since: October 2004 Posts: 1 Send Message	am trying to trace my g/fathers family in the uk.john stanley was born in gorton, 25/10/1874, and his father john in the same area circa1847.my g/mother, amy clarissa angove, born east london 1880.my g/father worked for beyer peacock in manchester 1896 and emmigrated to south africa circa 1898, working for sa railways in bloemfontein till his death in 1956.from photographs,taken in port erin, there appears to have been a fairly extensive stanley family in the manchester/lancashire district
