Find Ancestors

Hi, I'm looking for any information on a John Steglitz. He is my great great grand father. Here is what I know (or think I know) He was born in Germany around 1841 and died Keswick aged 79, Cumbria in 1920 At some point he came to the UK and married a Hannah M Bewsher in Liverpool in Dec 1881. His children.... Maria Antonette Steglitz born Liverpool 1882, died Keswick 1950 Olga (aka Holka or Olka) Margaret Steglitz born Cockermouth or Seascale 1884, died Manchester 1967. Olga married my great grand father Farank Leah Preston in 1914 in Keswick, they had a child John preston ( My grand father) Joseph Albert Steglitz born 1886 Cockermouth, Died Keswick or Cockermouth 1887 Myrtle Steglitz born 1888 died Keswick 1922 Josephine Nixon Steglitz born 1889 Cockermouth, or keswick. Death unknown. I have a newspaper snippet mentioning John Steglitz dated 1903 and mentions him not being naturalized. Up untill 1891 all documents state them as Steglitz, but the 1891 census states them as Stiglitz. I can find no trace of them in the 1901 census, I have tried all name variations I can think of, and I know they were in the country. I also know he owned at least 3 Groceries/Florists. One in Seascale, one in Cockermouth and one in Keswick. I would love to know where he came from, how he came to the UK, did he come alone or with family. Any help or information about John or any of his family would be great. Michaela
