My great-grandfather, (maternal)Henry Christopher Clarke,born c1859, eldest son of Robert Clarke,hay dealer,Clarke's Yard, Saltergate, Chesterfield, born c 1826. At one time owned the County Hotel and had links with the Chesterfield Football Club. His siblings were, Harriet, Allisers,Robert jnr,Frederick,George Edward and Laura, all born in Chesterfield. George Edward Clarke, was a horse dealer and once owned Hady Hill Farm. Does anyone have any other details of the family?
