Hi fellow searchers, I am trying to find information on Joseph Blake born to Emma & Joseph Blake 1842-3. On 1851 census Joseph Blake was living with his mother Emma Blake (nee fletcher) in Newington, Southwark, London. Joseph Blake Snr later married Harriet Allen. Anyone with any information on the Blake family and decendants living in the Newington/Southwark area of South London 1840's onwards (or any time) I would really like to hear from you - we have a very interesting history! many thanks christine

Hi Christine
I saw your note on the message board about the Blake family living in the Southwark/Newington area of London around the 1840s.
It is a long shot but my Blakes were from Lambeth and around that area, although I do not have a Joseph Blake in my tree as far as I am aware. I have a William Blake born about 1810 (I believe in Lambeth) who married a Caroline Dodson and I have traced 3 of their children, William, Rose & Charles. Is this of any interest to you?
Regards,
Sue
