My husbands Mother was a Penketh, her Grandfather was James Penketh born 1847? Could this be a link, he wasn't born in St Helens but did live in Eccleston, St Helens and had a least 1 son also James (MIL Father) - at the time St Helens had a large coal industry so possibilty that he was a miner |
