HELP PLEASE I AM GOING MAD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This is quite a complicated story so brace yourselves! I am trying to find out what happened to my Grandad, Percival Maynard Harris in the 1901 census. He was born in 1895 to William Maynard Harris (22.12.1866 to 4.01.1900) and Emma Eliza Brown (1869 to 1944). I have info from Percivals daughter that he was not liked by his mother, and was constantly in and out of Barnardos children homes. Percival was born in Oxfordshire, Great Tew and eventually moved to Croydon, Thornton Heath, where he married his wife Doris Maud Rhoades. Can anyone shed any light on this complicated mess, and can anyone tell me how to research old barnardos records (if possible). I feel as though I have tried everything, so would appreciate some advice and a kick in the right direction. Regards Suzanne |

Hi, there was a Percy Harris registered at Port Hospital bristol aged 4 , they may not have had correct age as they put not known down for birth place, may be worth seeing if you can get hospital records. |
