CANNING - BRISTOL I am researching the Canning family who lived in the Redcliffe (Brickyard)/Temple area of Bristol in the 1800s (possibly had links to Bedminster later). The earliest record I have is of James Canning b. 1816 married to Hannah Thorn (b. 1821) with children George, Sarah, Ann, Elizabeth, John, Henry, Mary, Eliza & James (b. 1848, my ancestor). Sarah married Nicholas Trezise ( a sailor). If you have any earlier information or believe you are related to this family, please get in touch, |
