have you tried stanford le hope in herefordshire?
my bannisters I found up thee, and i was so surprised...a long shot I know but may be worth a try?

BANNISTERs of Essex Trying to locate a 'lost' James Bannister. Born around 1771 and married in STANFORD LE HOPE, Essex. No record of any Bannisters prior to 1791 (marriage date) in Stanford le Hope. Where was James born and of which parents? North Kent, East London, Middle or South Essex? If anyone is tracing Bannisters in these areas and has a record of a James being born around 1771 and then vanishing I would be grateful for any contact, Thanks Ross Bannister
