Can anybody help please. I am trying to find out more information on Leslie Silas Fred Cave who died in the Great Warr in France. He was with the York and Lacs regiment, 12 th batallion.

Hi Mark,
I dont know if this is what you already know but i have found out some info, he was born in ripley derbyshire, enlisted in sheffield, killed in action 18/05/1917, he was a private, and his number was 12/1989, if you have access to ancestry.com you can go nto the ww1 part and get up more info such as his marital status his chldrens names and any medals he might have been awarded, also his service record, good luck Fran
