Member Since: October 2004 Posts: 2 Send Message	My name is Rita Johnson (nee Mitchell) and I'm trying to find what happened to my gggrandfather David Henry Mitchell. He was born in Kincardineshire, Scotland in 1837. Most of his working life was in Dockyards in Bengal working as a shipwright/ship surveyor. He married Margaret Eleanor Stanley in Kidderpore, India in 1871 and they had at least 4 children. He was pensioned in 1889 at the age of 52. His wife and children appear in Kent (1891 census) but no sign of the father although the mother is shown in the census as married. One daughter who married in London shows on the marriage certificate that her father was deceased (1905). His wife died a widow in 1915. I have no records of David Henry between 1889 and 1905 where he's described as deceased. If anyone has any info on this family could they please let me know. Thank you.
