Member Since: January 2006 Posts: 9 Send Message	I am looking for information on AGNES HOUGHTON (My Great Grand Mother) born c1869 Chesterton, Cambridgeshire. Unfortunatly I can not trace her birth certificate.... (According to 1871 census) Her mother was called Betsey born c 1843 Chesterton Cambridgeshire. (17 years her husbands junior) and her father George Houghton c1826.Somerset. Her siblings being Emily 1865, George 1858, Fanny 1871, Sarah 1863, william 1867 all born Cheterton, Cambridgeshire. (According to the 1881 Census) Agens born 1869 was in the local Work house along with her siblings Charles, Hannah and William. According to her Marriage certificate she married George William Garner on the 17th May 1891 St Mathews Cambridgeshire. Her father was George Houghton a Labourer. Witnesses were George garner and Elizabeth Garner. Agens Houghton c1869 and George Garner 1871 had a number of children including my Grandmother Agnes Rosina Bessie Garner 1908 West Ham. As far as my mum can remember Agnes R B was one of at least eight and the only girl. Brothers names George, Horace, Cyril and Charles.
