Trying to find descendants of Richard Chatfield (born 22 March 1862, Mile End, son of Richard Chatfield and Ann Catherine Taylor) and Ellen Landenberger (born 29 August 1866 in London, daughter of John Landenberger and Martha Gardner). Known children were Richard (1888-1893), Ellen Elizabeth (1886-1893), Albert Edward (1890-1958), Edward (b. 1892, d. ?), Sydney(or Sidney, b. 1894, d. ?), Harold (b. 1896, d. ?). Ellen Landenberger Chatfield died in 1907 and Richard remarried Susannah von Bargen Hodges, a widow with two children (Albert & Susannah Hodges) in 1908. All were originally from London's east end. Last contact was with Mrs. Harold Chatfield of Yeovil, Somerset in 1963. After that we lost contact with the family in England. There was also a relative (perhaps a cousin) with the last name of 'Warrant.' I am Albert's granddaughter (he came to the U.S. via Canada in the early 1920's) and would appreciate any information on Chatfield descendants. |
