Trying to find Horley

Trying to fill in the missing years of my grandfather HARRY HORLEY. In 1901 he was aged 14 and living in Hockliffe Beds. At some point after that he went to Canada where he enlisted in 1914 and served in France with the CEF until 1918 when he was discharged in England. He then disappears for another 10 years before hooking up with my grandmother in Watford c1929.
