Moses Bate Hi My gt grandfather was called Moses Bate Jones born 1874, in cheslyn hay, cannock area, I believed his father was Charles Jones and Mother sarah?? Charles was born in 1841 ish in wellington shropshire, but have found an entry on the 1881 census which states charles was lodging with Sarah Bate and lists children called William b 1867 Joseph b 1871 Sarah b 1874 Moses b 1875 Fanny b 1877 Dinah b 1879 If anyone knows whether Sarah was previously married or when and if she married Charles, I would love to know as I have searched the marriage records and found nothing I believe sarah was born around 1841 in cheslyn hay area thanks in anticipation annette |
