from christine Fiona Hunt Can anyone throw light on Alice Maude Varey (known as Maud) dob 1879 who lived in the Leeds area, married Oliver Waters had Charles Frederick Waters in 1902 (my father) .Alice Maude had other siblings Arthur, Emily Emma John ,Jane, Rosa unk Oliver died at the age of 42 in 1918.Theybhad other children incuding a girl who died young. My father married his cousin (OO - ER) Marjorie Louise Waters whose father was Wallace, brother of Oliver, their fathers name was Charles who was a foundling and was adopted by a couple called Waters when he was left on the doorstep at Alkborough Lincs. After his father died my father went into the army early and was in the Green Howards, and as Maud could not manage, his siblings went into 'scattered homes' as they were called. As my mother had no siblings and I am an only child I would like to know if there is anyone still about who may be related to my gran who I never knew but was always curious about.
