I don't know if my grandfather was a relative, but, he was John James Dunster from Chardstock, Somerset and was born in 1875 and died 16th April 1934. He moved to Old Down, Nr Thornbury, South Gloucestershire in about 1904 to work as a Master carpenter and joiner on the construction of a large house in Old Down and met and married a local girl - Annie Maria Barnfield. They married on 14th September 1905 in Alveston, Nr Thornbury. Thornbury is north of Bristol. They had two children - Ivy Mary Marina (my mother) born 1909 and Norman George born 1911. John James' father was Mark Dunster who was a farm labourer. They spent their entire married life in Rudgeway, Nr Thornbury. Both my mother and uncle have since died.
