More Yorkshire Seniors I'm afraid! Quite a lot of them and according to the census based in Oldfields Yard, Almondbury nr Huddersfield. Does anyone know where Oldfields Yard used to be? It doesn't exist any more, but by a strange twist of fate we now live near Almondbury, so keen to know how close we are to our roots! Here's the list; John Senior, born 1807, married Hannah 6 children; Mary b. 1829 Hannah b. 1831 John b. 1836 George b. 1837 Sarah Ann b. 1841 Charles b. 1827, married Mary Scholfield (spelling?) and had 9 (yes NINE!) children; Caroline b. 1849 Catherine b. 1851 William Henry b. 1852 John b. 1854 Suzannah b. 1858 James Thomas b. 1864 Rose Anne b. 1865 George Henry b. 1869 Harrison Senior b. 1861 married Rachel Burgin b. 1865 and had 7 children; Joseph b. 1883 Caroline b. 1892 Rachel b. 1896 Esther b. 1898 Harrison b. 1900 Timothy b. 1905 George b. 1894, married Kathleen Leroy b.1898 George and Kathleen are my fiancee's grandparents. Sorry for the list, hope it helps someone! By the way if a Christine Desmond of Australia reads this, please get in touch...I saw a message from you dated 2001 regarding Oldfields Yard, but the email associated with it no longer works. Ta! |
