James Connelly - 1848-1897 I am trying to find any information on the descendants of James Connelly who served with the City of Glasgow Police from 1867 until his death in 1897. My Grandfather, John Chalmers Connelly, was his eldest son but he also had another son, James, born in 1875, and two daughters, Catherine Miller Stuart Connelly, born in 1876 and Elizabeth Chalmers Connelly, born in 1879. Their Mother Agnes died in 1879, aged just 25 years but James never re-married. My brother and I are the only descendants of John but I know nothing about the families of my Grandfather's siblings. Surely at least one of them had children and grandchildren?? Any information would be greatly appreciated. Thank you. |
