trying to my husband's great-grandfather/great-grandmother (by marriage), JAMES WILLIAM LANE (occupation - GRINDER) who lived in/near St Pauls area of BIRMINGHAM (City Centre). Married to SARAH ANN (possibly TRIGGER - German descent) had 4 children (at least) - JAMES WILLIAM LANE - (born circa 1904 - ran the Albion Vaults public house, Birmingham, married to Annie Lane nee Albright or Albrighton - we think) JONATHAN (JACK) LANE WILLIAM LANE FREDERICK LANE the name JAMES WILLIAM LANE has passed down to my father-in-law (1928) and my brother-in-law (1955).
