Trying to find family of my grandfather, JOHN GEORGE ALBERT WHITE, born abt 1890 in Darlington area. He married DORA MAY GLEDDEN in Wetherby, Yorks in 1915. He served with the Army Sevice Corps from 1915 to 1918 when he was invalided out before the end of the war. He and DORA moved to LEICESTERSHIRE. He was working at HUMBERSTONE HALL in LEICESTER when he received his SIlver War Medal. My mum JOAN and uncles, WILLIAM, ROY and NORMAN WHITE were born in HUMBERSTONE and LEICESTER FOREST WEST between 1918 and 1930. JOHN GEORGE ALBERT died in 1932. I believe his family emigrated to CANADA at some point but not sure when. Hope someone out there can help with this. |
