Hi everyone, My Great Grandfather Henry Hamilton Graham (born in Bothwell, Lanarkshire, Scotland) came out to Australia in the late 1800's where he married Jessie Sanderson Moffatt who was born in Thankerton, Lanarkshire, Scotland. So far I have information about Henry (and his family) but can find no information about Jessie. Another relative in Australia who has been researching longer than myself, has her name as possibly being Jessie Campbell (Moffatt?). As the story goes... it may have been that Henry and Jessie had been in love in Scotland but their relationship was not met with approval. Jessie's parents had bought a ticket for her to go to South Africa but she had other plans. Instead she changed her ticket to Australia where she met up with Henry and they were wed and began their family in Northern Queensland. I wonder if she used a different name so as not to be found?
