Hi Brian, My father was William George Alexander Sanders, ( 1904-1956 ) cycle dealer, and he was born in Teddington, his father was also William, ( 1879-1922 ) Railway Porter, his grandfather was also William, ( 1850 - ? ) and gt grandfather, was Thomas ( 1825 - ? ) the trail for Sanders goes cold before that, so am looking into, the wives maiden names. So getting a bit complicated, Kind regards, |

Hi Brian Have just found your message on Genes Un. I am researching my great greaat grandfather who I think was born in Fremington Devon. His name was Alexander Sanders and had a son named George. He was living in Bristol when his son was born and was a shoemaker. The family eventually landed up in in Camberwell and my father and grandfather's name was Alexander. The name George also runs through the family. Do you think there could be a connection? As an extra thought Alexander's wife was Grace and was born I think in Pulham. If you think this might connect I would be pleased to hear from you. Good luck with the research. Mrs Barbara Barrow. |

Trying to find any info on the family name of SANDERS. The family originated in Devon but had connections with Cardiff, Somerset, Bristol and Liverpool. The Devon place name was Northam or Appledore, Somerset was Bridgwater and Liverpool Toxteth. Brian Sanders |
