Although Kaldi is my husbands surname it is not his family name. Janos Kaldi botn in Janoshaza, who my husband is named after, died in Mauthausen a concentration camp during the second world war. He volunteered to take the place of John's father and died in the gaschambers. The original name for the Kaldi family was Kohn, it was changed because of antisemtism in Hungary at the time. We have some contacts with the family if it seems like it a possible relative
