My husband's ancestor was a RICHARD PRICE JONES who was bapt in 1852 at All Saints Church in Moxley, Staffs. His mother was given as Martha Jones but no father was mentioned. I have recently obtained the marriage certificate of Richard Price Jones dated 11 December 1876 at St Albans Church, Cheetwood, Manchester and MARGARET JONES aged 26 a spinster. Richard gives his address as Hadley nr Wellington, Salop where he eventually lived with his family before moving to Risca in South Wales to work. Margaret Jones parents were THOMAS JONES and ELIZABETH of WOMBRIDGE, Salop. One interesting piece of information on the marriage certificate was the name of his father RICHARD PRICE a sawyer - this accounts for the middle name of PRICE. If anyone has any further info to help me I would be very grateful. |
