My ancestor FLORENCE ALLEN born about 1875 in Pontypool, Mon. married in 1891 a WILLIAM PRICE who according to the 1901 Census was an Innkeeper at the Yew Tree Inn in Trevethin. This Inn belonged at one time to Florence's Grandfather THOMAS JENKINS of Troed-y-Rhriw Farm in Mamhilad. Florence and William had children - Ethel 1892, Wilson 1894, Ralph 1897 and Tom 1899 (there may have been others). If anyone is connected to any of the people mentioned above I would love to hear from them. I am particularly interested in Florence's father JOHN BOWYER ALLEN, a blacksmith who was married to RACHAEL JENKINS of Mamhilad. Other members of Florence's family are her siblings - GEORGINA BORN 1863, JOHN BOWYER 1865, ARTHUR 1867, HENRY 1870, WILLIAM HENRY 1870, MARGARET 1873, BESSIE 1878 AND AGNES LILLIAN 1880. |
