Does anyone have any contacts in Cape Town, South Africa? My greatgrandmother Elizabeth Howarth, married Sgt. James Cook, serving with the 24th/41st Foot. S.W. Borderers, in St. George's Cathedral, Cape Town, on 9th November 1876. The address given on the register entry was Primrose Street, Cape Town. She was a widow, previously known as Elizabeth Bulpin with one child, Amelia Bulpin. Elizabeth Howarth was born on 9 November 1848, died 21 August 1898, probably in Welsh Pool, Mid Wales. I would like to know where she died and is buried if anyone can tell me how I can obtain this information. Anne Cranstone |
