The vicar at Bapchild Kent says there are more Spices in his churchyard than you can count. If you look at the family trees of Vicky Kavanagh or Henry Spice you will find Spices back to the 1700's, all from Kent. Dorothy may be the daughter of Amos Spice's brothers, in which case you have relatives in Canada, Australia, New Zealand & America. Vicky & I are offspring of Amos Spice, 1858, he was the youngest of his generation. Good hunting. |

My grandmother was called Dorothy May Spice and was born on 27 September 1903. I am not certain but think she had 2 or 3 brothers, however for some reason she lost contact with her brothers and parents. I am sure she originated from Kent and remained there until her seventies but I don't know which part. She married William Harper and they lived in Herne Bay and Bossingham. Unfortunately my grandma passed away in 1987 so I would appreciate any help in piecing together her immediate and extended family. |
