I am trying to trace any detail of my Great Grandfather. All I know is that his name was David Robertson and came from the Edinburgh area. I understand he was a Commercial Traveller who may or may not have married a Barbara Rough.She was the daughter of George and Barbara Rough ,a Glove manufacturer of Dundee and was born there c.1820, She gave birth to My Grandfather, David Robertson, at Drylaw Lodge , Cramond on the19 December 1858. The name of the father was not given on the Birth Certificate.She used the name Robertson. She died in Edinburgh on the 8 February 1896 using the name Rough. Where did he come from and where did he go. Any help would be much appreciated |
