Trying to find lapworth

My tree records a Thomas Hawker Lapworth b.abt.1793 and wife Mary. They had a son Thomas b.abt 1813 and daughter Harriett Hawker Lapworth b.8march1815. Harriett is shown in the 1851 census as the wife of my Gt.Gfthr. William Griffin age 29 (i.e. b.abt.1820/1), a baker, resident at 145 Well St., Aston, Birmingham. The census also shows a Thomas Hawker age 58, a gun finisher of Kidderminster, Worcestershire as a visitor at the household. I feel sure this Thomas must be Harriett`s father but cannot see why the Lapworth element was dropped. The 1881 census has William married to a Sarah Hardiman, of Kidderminster, my Gt.Gmthr. They were then at their shop in 90 Winson Green Rd., Birmingham. What happened to Harriett, I can find nothing more about her so far? Were there children of her marriage? I have found a Harriett Lapworth in Hallow, Worcs., shown as married, but apparently living alone. Can`t find a connection though. Can anyone help solve the Lapworth (Hawker) riddle?
