Trying to find Sansford

SANSFORD IN DORSETSHIRE I am researching a Sansford family line for a cousin. He appears to be descended from a John Sansford who married Ann Slade in 1826. The family line seems to have originated in Dorset and the village names of Alton Pancras, Piddletrenthide, Abbotsbury, Langton Herring, Symondsbury, Portisham all feature in my research so far. I have already acquired what turn out to be stray information, i.e. birth, marraige and death certificates which prove not to have any connection with the line I am researching and I would be happy to share those details with you. So far I think I have created 8 separate family lines in the 1800's, though I would hope to find that some of these are connected with each other? The names listing so far comprises John, David, John William, Martha Slade Sansford,Charles, William, George, Thomas Henry/Henry Thomas Sansford,brothers-William John and William Arthur Sansford, Samuel, Julia Francis, Mary Jane, Elizabeth,Thomas, William T., Joseph S.,James T.,Agnes J., Frederick J.Elenda, Herbert, Caroline,Clara, Mayes,Joseph,Granville/Grenville, Arthur and Blanche. If you find that your line emanates from this area of Dorset, or perhaps the Whitechapel area of London in the 1870's, then do please get in touch. I would prefer that you contact me direct on: [email protected] -as some of the information I have is not easily sent via the genesreunited site. regards Geoff Gillon.
