Trying to find Champion

THOMAS WILLIAM CHAMPION born 1856 St Pancras, Kentish Town, was my great grandfather. He married Annie Elizabeth Robson from Driffield in 1874 in Mile End Old Town, London and is named on my grandmother's birth certificate (Elizabeth Florence Champion, born Liverpool 1886). Annie Elizabeth Champion then married Richard Thomas Rundle in 1889. My family have been trying to find out what happened to Thomas William Champion. I have found a person of same name, birthplace Kentish Town who married Norah Reid in 1895 in Greenwich; they had a son born 1901 also called Thomas William Champion. Only problem is that Thomas William senior was not 45 on the 1901 census, but 37. So did he lose a few years or is this a different person? Any ideas welcomed. I know the records online aren't complete but can't find any record of him dying at all, which was our first assumption. |
