I see you have a Catherine Devine in your family research. My Catherine was born in 1877 in Wapping, London. Her other name on certificate is Cecilia. I believe she was of Irish descent. Is it likely we have the same person? |

Trying to find more details of family of my late father, Bernard Devine. Born Glasgow 1910, son of James Devine and Jane (nee Thompson). His brothers were John (married Harriet), James and I think Joseph. Think he had sister Mary. G-Grandfather also Bernard Devine, (born 1839?), married Mary Bradie 1864 in Scotland, but both came from Ireland. Mary Bradie's mother and at least 1 brother (William) also were in Scotland then. G-G-grandfather also James Devine (married to Isabella McGonigle) in Ireland. Other names in Devine family were Catherine & Davina. If anyone thinks they may have a connection please get in touch.
