Hello Susan
I guess you have the following information from the StHelens MBC website. If not, there is a 'Grave Reference' STHELCEM/44/988 which lists William, Maud and Jean Winders and Ellen Callaghan. Check out under 'Deceased Search' or 'Burial Record' on www.sthelens.gov.uk
Perhaps this might help - I also seem to remember the name Winders around the Dentons Green area in the '50s.

hi Susan I dont know any Winders in St Helens but there are lots in Widnes where my dad came from.

Trying to find any Winders from St Helens my Grandfather was William Winders (born 1896 ) married to Maud Denton. they lived in Thatto Heath.His parents were Ellen Taylor(on the marriage cert it states her fathers name as Thomas Smith) and William Winders, married at St Peters Parr in 1886 both were 19 years old Williams Grandfathers name was John Winders.
