Hi, I am trying to trace Postles in my family tree, and think there aren't many out there as it's quite an unusual name! I am tracing Caroline Postle's family. Caroline was my great-grandmother and she was born in 1875 in Chorlton, Manchester. She married George Frost in 1897. Her parents were Edward (born 1845 in Wincham, Cheshire) and Hannah (not sure of her maiden name). Caroline had brothers and sisters: Thomas born 1869 in Runcorn, Cheshire John born 1870 in Marston, Cheshire Sarah born 1872 in Bolton, Lancashire Martha born 1879 in Manchester Emma born 1881 in Manchester Eleanor born 1884 in Manchester Ada born 1890 in Manchester Edward born 1895 in Manchester Edward worked on boats and barges which is why the family moved around a lot! If you have any connection please get in touch. Thanks, Helen. |
