Trying to find Holt

I am trying to find out about my great grandfather Samuel Holt. Samuel married Emma Foulkes (born 1870) in Chorlton, Manchester. Emma's mother was Eliza (born in Burton on Trent, Staffordshire). Samuel and Emma had a son called Samuel who was born in 1899. Samuel jnr was in the Navy 1914-1918 but had to take early leave to help his mother (emma) because her husband left her. I would be very grateful to anyone who could pass on any information. Janice

Hi Janice, I have a third (?) cousin Samuel Ward (b10.1.1868, whose maternal grandfather was Andrew Holt. This family all came from around Chorlton. There are two branches of this family that I know nothing about. Do you know Samuel's parents? Kathryn
