Hi Lyn, My Rennick Family came through Pennsylvania, Virginia, to Kentucky, Indiana, into Missouri. Where I was born in 1945. My father is Orval Rennick Born 1910, his father was Thomas Washington Rennick born in 1868 in Missouri and his father was Joseph K. Rennick born in 1828 in Bourbon County, Kentucky, and his father was William Rennick who was born in Virginia in 1805. The history on back is not so certain as we know but there were four brothers that came from Ireland in the mid 1700's George, William, Thomas, and I think Robert Rennick. So way back we are probably related. They were of Scotish Descendant. as we have a picture of one in a Scotish kelt. I know this isn't much but hope it helps some. I am doing a Rennick book and have been collecting for 15 yrs and hope to someday it get together. Have you seen a copy of the book, "Rennick's of Greenbrier, West Virginia. That tells a lot about our Rennicks in the USA. Please write back again. My e-mail address is [email protected] Kind Regards Sandra Rennick Humphrey

I am working on the my husband's side of my family tree and searching for info. My husband's name is George RENNICK (DOB 16.4.1949) and he comes from Sligo, Eire. Siblings: Tony RENNICK, Mary DYKES (nee Rennick) Their parents were: John Joe RENNICK. (DOB 22.11.1907) Annie MURPHY (DOB 1.8.1911) from Balleygawley, Sligo...father Dennis) John Joe's parents were: Alfred RENNICK (DOB 1.5.1871) Caroline MURPHY (DOB c 1873) Their children apart from John Joe were: Agnes Christine RENNICK Caroline RENNICK Kathleen RENNICK Elizabeth RENNICK (married Patrick Dowling and lived in Dublin) Florrie RENNICK (married Patrick Kivlehan) William Thomas RENNICK Evelyn (Eveline?) RENNICK Cicile (Cissie) RENNICK Ann RENNICK George RENNICK (moved to Corby, Northants and died in 1960s) The children were put into Artane Orphanage in Dublin. It was thought that both parents had died but I have now found that Alfred lived until the 1920's so it would seem that their mother either died or left him and he couldn't look after them on his own. I can't find any records for the mother, Caroline RENNICK (nee MURPHY). Alfred Rennick's Parents were: Thomas RENNICK (DOB c1839) Anne MCCAWLEY (DOB c1839) Thomas and Anne came down from Derry to Sligo. They had 4 children and went on to have 4 more in Sligo. The children were: Alfred RENNICK Sarah Jane RENNICK Edward RENNICK James RENNICK Patrick RENNICK Joseph RENNICK Teresa RENNICK George Frederick RENNICK I cannot find any death records for either Thomas RENNICK or Anne MCCAWLEY in Eire, Northern Ireland, England or Scotland. It's a mystery as to what happened to them. Other names connected are: MELLY, SCANLON, BRETT (from Tubbercurry), KIVLEHAN, DOWLING (from Dublin), FOWLEY (Sooey, Sligo). Does anyone recognise any of these names please? Thanks. Lyn Rennick
