Carol,

I have just read your message on GR - I am not sure I can help you directly but what you say is interesting. I have been researching a rather quirky branch of the Faux family tree who moved to Leatherhead in before 1871. The guy who moved there was Burrell Faux. He had several children, one called Burrell Faux also. Burrell was a common first or middle name in the Faux family starting from a Gregory Faux who married Bridget Burrell in the 18th century. Whether this is just coincidence, or not, I don't know. Have you found out more since your message?

I can tell you more about this branch of the family. For example, Burrell Faux (elder) committed suicide in at Old Mill Bridge in Leatherhead on 17 March 1910.

Best wishes,

David Faux
