not sure if this is the same one but check with the docklands museum in London as there is information about a Charlie Brown publican. Big pub in walthamstow
named after him locals refer to the roundabout as charlie brown where pub was.

Any knowledge of publican Charles Brown of what was the Tower Bridge Road Hotel built in 1894. His brother was George Brown, Timber merchant of Pitsea. Annie Rose Plunkett was Charles' wife ; she had been a nurse at the Royal London hospital.Charles was an Alderman of the City of London and a Freeman. One of Charles' children, Leonard Clarence Brown migrated to Sydney, Australia, aged 19 , in 1926. Would welcome any information [email protected]
