Thank you Rosemary for the image and your thoughts. Does 'independent annuitant' mean the same as of independent means, ie has her own money? Chris x |

Thank you Jess for the info. I have got to mull this over for a bit, look at dates etc to see if it is the right family and thank you Rosemary, this Elizabeth sounds promising. This is all a big family mystery that I try to work on from time to time. When Elizabeth married in 1858, she beacame Elizabeth Tubby . I have a photograph of her gravestone in Ladywell cemetery which says William Henry Tubby ... also Elizabeth Ann Tubby wife of the above ,grandchild of Lord and Lady Richardson. Family verbal history has it that Elizabth ran off with a tradesman and was disowned by Lord and lady R. This tradesman would seem to be Peter Pullen a boot closer! Can find no proof of any of this story thoughand my mum who is descended from her has dementia and can remember nothing.Sorry , I am rambling. XX again Chris |

Could this be the Elizabeth you're looking for? 1851: Jane Clement abt 1812 Barnstaple, Devon, England Visitor Holborn St Andrew Middlesex Elizabeth Pullen abt 1833 St Andrew Holborn, Middlesex, England Visitor Holborn St Andrew Middlesex . She is unmarried and occupation shows as an 'independent annuitant' I looked at the image and I'm not sure who she is visiting with. If you would like the image, please pm me with your email address. Hi, On the Pullen trail. Isobel kindly found my Pullen family in 1841, father Peter with wife Sarah and children James,11 William,10 Emily,7 Maria.2 There should be an Elizabeth abt 8yrs. In 1841 they were living in Holborn and by 1858 Elizabth married in Holborn. Please can anyone find this family or even Elizabeth on her own in 1851, she would be abt 18 and as she was born and married in the Holborn area, surely she would be there inbetween 41 and 58? Millions of thanks Chris |
