Hi can any one tell me how to find census,s in tyne= wear. I,m looking for a robert curry born 1850 in winlaton blaydon newcastle on tyne but don,t know where to look Thanks lyn

Lynne 1851 census may be available on CD. It will also be at the relevant records office in Tyne & Wear (my geog of the area is not at all hot, I'm guessing that the records office would be in Newcastle) as well as Family Records Centre, London. 1861 - I think is mainly available at the records office only. 1871, 1881, 1891, 1901 are available on Ancestry. 1881 transcription is available www.familysearch.org You may find other bits of the census online by googling. nell

hi. blaydon is actually in durham not northumberland. some of the records for blaydon are on the igi. hope this helps. edith
