Hi Jan Can I trouble you to have a look for someone I've hunted for till I'm blue in the face but a fresh pair of eyes might spot him! Robert Tooley born 1854 in Hyde, Cheshire (birtplace sometimes given as Stockport). I have his wife and 2 daughters living in Hyde, Cheshire on the 1881 but no sign of Robert anywhere. I know he was still alive cos he reappears on the 1881. I've had all kinds of mistranscriptions for the surname including Tolley, Texley (!) and Tabley but can't seem to find my Robert under anything! Thanks Lou
