Hi All I have found my first Scottish ancestor - now does anyone know where to look next? Please! Her name is Jessie Gillespie Smyth born about 1871 in Glasgow, Scotland. I need to find her family and/or her birth register. I have her marriage register. She married in 1900 to William Garrett Linnell in Aston. Thank you Tammy

Tammy Throw a party and congratulate yourself and get yourself on to Scotlands People. Finding Scottish ancestors online is a lot easier in some ways to finding others :-) Shaz x

There are a couple of other 10 year old Jessie Smiths, but no others with the G middle name - although that means nothing, they could just have not noted the middle name. Do you have the 1900 marriage cert with any parents details to help confirm? Regards Ellen.
