Thanks Karen, Hopefully I will able to find when I have credits on SP. Thank you so much for the 1871 census details. I didn't know that 1871 census was on SP. Many thanks, Lucia :-)

Lucia - I'm sorry I can't find any members of the family on 1891. None come up within Inverness and correct'ish age. Also tried Joseph all areas, about 13 results, none near the right age and none Inverness vincinity. Of course could have moved but no idea where to. The difficulty is here that given their ages they are unlikely to still be together in 1891. Do you already have them on 1871? Ran out of credits to view this but looks like Josephy & Margaret, codes are the same which means they are together, couldn't turn up Christina with these codes though. 1871 MCLELLAN JOSEPH M 9 INVERNESS INVERNESS 098/00 013/000 020 1871 MCLELLAN MARGARET F 6 INVERNESS INVERNESS 098/00 013/000 020 Sorry not to be of more help Karen

Hello Karen Hope I’m not too late to take up your kind offer. Looking for DANIEL McCOWAN b. c1854 I have him on the 1891 census aged 37 born Scotland. He married Emma? And their oldest son Andrew was born 1883 in Bootle (West Derby) Lancashire. Other sons names were William Lewis McCowan and Daniel Hugh McCowan I don’t know if Daniel and Emma married in Scotland ? Then moved to Lancashire. Emma was born c1861 in Holyhead Wales. I suppose I’m asking can you find Daniel aged 7ish in Scotland with his parents in ‘61census before he went to Lancashire ? or ANYTHING you find that might be connected to Daniel please. Have added the names of his son’s because they tend to name their children after the parents, don’t they? This might assist you in finding the Father of Daniel in the ’61 census. Thanks heaps! …Babz X

Kay - I can't find Jemima born Leith. Any that look possible by age don't match with parents, only found 3 aged between 8 & 10, all areas - one 10yr old in Banff looked possible, she is a niece but not born Leith. 1871 MORRISON JEMIMA F 10 GRANGE (BANFF) BANFF 156/00 006/000 008 This one not with correct parents- 1871 MORRISON JEMIMA F 8 LEITH MIDLOTHIAN 692/02 041/000 009 Haven't looked at this one, 1871 MORRISON JEMIMA F 8 DURNESS SUTHERLAND 048/00 004/000 014 I've looked at hellen, helen & ellen morrisons in Leith but none match up with Alexander morrisons in Leith. To search on a different or all areas you'd need to narrow it down by age or something. Sorry can't be of more help Karen
