I can't find them on the 1861 index. Have looked through the pages for Little Ilford. Can't see them there, a few pages slightly damaged but mainly legible but the film does appear to come to an abrupt end as if some may be missing, who knows? Presumably in 1841 they weren't married. Where do you think William would be? I don't have an index for 1841, so it would mean looking through the pages. If you can find a reference, it might be easier. Sara |

Sara and geoff thank you so very much for your time and help. Sara: If William's wife is Mary A b about 1827 of Heron Gate essex then that's my man. Thank you . Geoff: The information you've provided is food for thought - they may well be connected to my William and thus thank you as these are new leads to help make a bigger puzzle. I have only the details from the census of 1871 - 1901. this is what I have found out about my William to date: William married in St Dunstan Stepney 1849 to Mary Ann MOSS. Children ( all christened in St Dunstan Stepney ) : Mary Ann b 1853 Little Ilford ( sometimes recorded as Manor Park) John b 1854 West Ham Charles b 1857 Little Ilford ( Christened Thomas Charles ) Emma b 1859 Little Ilford Alice b 1861 d 1866 Little Ilford Ada Elizabeth b 1864 Little Ilford Florence Alice b 1867 Little Ilford Albert edward b 1870 Little Ilford I have found the name mistranscribed from Carer, Canner, Camer alsorts. Little Ilford sometimes as I have said Manor Park/Forest Gate. Thank you again for your assistance . Much happiness Debi |
