This is what has been transcribed on Ancestry civil reg (taken from Freebmd) Crumpler, Jane 1859 December Marriages Dorchester Dorset Ridout, Emily 1859 December Marriages Dorchester Dorset Williams, Samuel 1859 December Marriages Dorchester Dorset I suppose you could try to find Jane Williams or Jane Mowlem on the 1861 census and see if her age and place of birth match up with Jane Crumpler's. Otherwise I think you will have to order the certificate. nell |

Have you considered that Henry J could have been born before the marriage, thus giving his birth name as Crumpler, then his mother married and had his name changed to Mowlem/Mewleen. Victor |

Kazzie I have had another look on the page and tried to find Kingwood/Hingwood on the map but failed, but on the next line there is a Herbert Henry Crumpler with ref Dorchester XIII 69, note the Vol ref is the same as for Henry Charles, so Kingwood/Hingwood must be in the same area. Victor |

Hi Victor the whole family went by name Crumpler both mum and dad to,but 10 years later when dad had died suddenly became Mowleen, only marriage found for a Jane Crumpler was 1859 Dorchester but doesnt give partners name, cant find his death registered either, only on Holnest burials then only know him as says Robert Mowlem or Crumpler its like the man never existed Kazzie |

Kazzie Do you have a reference for the marriage? If not it is Jane Crumpler Dorchester Oct-Dec 1859 5A 789. If you send for the marriage certificate at the GRO it will give the information you require. Victor |

Yes this is the one I found to but not giving husbands name but dont think this is them unless married a long timne after they had children first one born about 1850,I did look on 1837 last night for that date under Mowlem or anything resembling that and not one marriage was show for Dorchester,so may order cert anyway and hope for the best as Jane is conected to me but the Robert Mowlem Kazzie |
