Hi Nell, Thanks I will try that now, not been here for a few days as I had some party to go to. Actually an Easter party with my little girl dressed as a chicken so I was really tired. She wouldn't go to bed either. I think it must be the clocks ! Zoe

Zoe As you probably know, some parish register baptisms are on www.familysearch.org from the IGI (International Genealogical Register) If you google 'Hugh Wallis batch numbers' it will take you to a site where you can choose the county, then the town/parish and it will give you batch numbers (C for baptisms M for marriages) for each church with the years covered. Click on these to do a search. nell

Hi Everyone, I know this is probably an easy question to most, but did they have birth certificates pre 1837 ? Or do I have to just look at a parish register list? Thanks very much for any replies in advance. Zoe
